City-Data.com reports Golden's population at 20,201 as of 2014, an increase of 17.7% since the 2000 census. Golden also has a community center with indoor pools, running track and many other features. Clear Creek Whitewater Park was specifically built for kayaks and canoes and invites paddlers to practice their skills. Golfers will appreciate the scenic Fossil Trace Golf Club.
