Englewood Past & Present

Englewood, CO was discovered in 1858 by William Green Russell when he struck gold on the now Little Dry Creek. However, Thomas Skerritt, Englewood’s founder, began developing the area in 1860 and built the city’s first road four years later which connected it to Denver. By the early 1960s the remainder of Englewood had been developed after a large building boom. Englewood is now a Home Rule Municipality and home to a population of about 30,255 residents. It is located less than seven miles south from downtown Denver and only a couple hours from the beautiful Rocky Mountains, which makes the houses for sale in Englewood such attractive options for those looking to move to Colorado
